Qual-Pro Corporation announces its new Test for Success program

LOS ANGELES, CA – June 2, 2010 – Centered on its new Acculogic Flying Scorpion FLS 810D flying probe tester, Qual-Pro is launching its Test for Success program today.

“This program allows us to rapidly confirm the viability of the electronic assemblies we build.  We welcome existing and new customers to utilize this program, which allows them to validate their designs.   Qual-Pro, founded almost 40 years ago, was built on a foundation of providing validation and testing services.  This new program launch is a return to our roots,” said Brian Shane, Qual-Pro’s CEO and son of founder, Gerald Shane.

“We have invested heavily in our test capability.  As their designs have become more complex, our customers have increasingly requested more sophisticated capabilities in the areas of design validation and testing.  To help address that need we have brought online this new piece of capital equipment.  In the short time since we have added this new capability, we have helped many of our customers diagnose problems with their electronic assemblies,” said Shane.

The Acculogic flying probe tester allows simultaneous double-sided probing of printed circuit boards with board power-on testing, boundary Scan (JTAG) testing, mixed signal function testing and on-board device programming.

Flying probe testing is the next step in Qual-Pro’s validation and test offering.  Behind flying probe are in-circuit (ICT) and functional testing.  Additionally, the company offers custom functional tester development and custom test plan development to fully validate and exercise its customer’s electronic assemblies.
